Android始めました。その1 //I started using Android. Part.1.

約15年前WindowsCEを、数年前からはiPhoneを。そしてついにモバイルOS3種類目、
Androidを使い始めました。
//15 years before, I was using WindowsCE. A few years before, I started using iPhone.
//At last, I started using Android.

買ったのは怪しげな「FV-1 Android TV」という機種。
//I bought "FV-1 Android TV".

AppleTVの元になったのはそう。FV-1なのです！
あれ、、、逆だったかな。。。？

なんてことはさておきまして、

「iPhone→iPad→AppleTV」　という関係性があるように、
「Android 2.x→Android3.x→GoogleTV」　という、
「スマートフォン→タブレット→モニターレスTV接続型」　のようなシリーズがiOSにもAndroidにも
あるわけです。

iOSもAndroidもスマートフォン系とタブレット系の間にそれほど大きな違いがありません。
が、AppleTVもGoogleTVもスマートフォン、タブレットと違い、画面タッチ操作ではなく、
リモコン操作を前提としたUIになっています。
//The user interface of iPhone and iPad suited for touch control.
//And the user interface of Android 2.x and 3.x suited for touch control too.
//But the user interface of Apple TV and Google TV suited for remote control.

正統なGoogleTVとしてはソニーやLogitechが製品化していますが、FV-1はソニーやLogitechの
正統派GoogleTVとはまったく異なるものです。
//Sony and Logitech released genuine Google TV.
//But "FV-1 Android TV" is different.

FV-1は一言で言いますと、「モニターレスタブレット」といったところでしょうか。
FV-1はAndroid2.2で動いていますが、UIは2.2そのまんまです。
//In conclusion, "FV-1" is monitor less Android tablet.
//The user interface is just Android 2.2.

ヒネリも何もありません。タブレットからモニター無くしただけです。実にチャライです。

ただ、個人的にはそこがポイントでした。
Google TVのUIではなく、ただの2.2というのがTV（我が家の場合モニタですが）に映るのが
重要でした。

とりあえず「Androidとは何か？」を感じてみたいと思い、FV-1を購入してみました。
色々あるのですが、最近はARM系プロセッサで動くWindowsだとか、ｘ86系に
Honeycombを移植だとか、Mobileと据え置きコンピュータとの境目が曖昧になる方向に
世の中は動いていると感じます。
//I bought "FV-1" because I'd like to know about Android.

ARMで動くWindowsにしろ、ATOMで動くHoneycombにしろ、低電力で動く
コンピュータというのは今の時期大歓迎だと思います。

私は現在こんなAV環境に入れて使っています。
モニターは10インチの「HM-TL10T」と、「LED Cinema Display 27'」につなげて使っています。

使用感など、また改めて書きたいと思いますが、

・~~YouTubeはちょっとシンドイですが~~YouTube、ネット、メール、ネットラジオくらいなら十分。
※YouTubeをブラウザで見るとシンドイですが、YouTubeアプリならなんら問題なく見れました。
・iOSの完成度の高さを思い知らされました。ただAndroidの自由さはやはり魅力と感じる。
・AndroidMarketってAndroidなら皆使えるわけじゃないんだ。。。
・一般の方（別段デジタルがジェットに興味のない方）が使うにはまだ早いかな。。。
//Though I'll write detail next time, I write first impression.

//iOS is very good. But freedom of Android is good too.

といったところでしょうか。
